As with all of the lists you will see on this blog, these Cincinnati coffee cafes are just our own personal favorites and are listed in no particular order. There is SO much wonderful coffee to drink in Cincinnati!


Coffee Emporium has two locations, but our favorite is the Hyde Park location offering a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both work and relaxation. The spacious seating (inside and out) and cozy corners make it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or dive into a good book. On top of that, Coffee Emporium's coffee is also delicious and they have many varieties to choose from and take home!


MUST TRY: Quiche w/ a nitro cold brew.

Hyde Park: 3316 Erie Ave.

Over-the-Rhine: 110 E. Central Parkway


Mom 'N Em Coffee and cafe in Madisonville stands out for its exceptional and creative menu, delicious food and its stylish 'Instagramable' interior. Perfect for enjoying a quiet moment or engaging in conversation, Mom 'N Em also has a large outdoor patio space. Check out their full wine bar and event schedule including 'latte art' classes!


MUST TRY: The 'Dirty Nati Egg Sandwich' and their Salted Olive Oil latte.

Deeper Roots Coffee is one of the most popular beans in the city and you'll see their coffee at many coffee shops in Cincinnati. All four of their locations are known for modern, welcoming, and clean spaces suitable for working or socializing, often featuring, local art.

MUST TRY: Any drink featuring their Alchemy espresso.

The Madison Place Coffee Shop exudes charm with its cozy atmosphere and inviting decor. Perfect for a leisurely morning or an afternoon break, this shop features comfortable seating and a selection of delicious breakfast items that pair beautifully with your coffee (they serve the afore mentioned Deeper Roots!). There is also a wonderful front patio for those pleasant mornings and maybe you'll even catch someone playing the piano! The friendly staff create a welcoming environment that makes every visit feel special.

Collective Espresso is a beloved gem in the Northside neighborhood known for its vibrant funky atmosphere, community spirit and delicious drinks. The Northside shop is the original location down a quaint alley...it can be tricky to find your first time! It features a small but cozy space as well an inviting patio.


MUST TRY: Go simple and get a latte - the best in the city!

Urbana Cafe is a Cincinnati-based, Italian-inspired specialty coffee roaster known for its ethical sourcing, charitable impact on local animal shelters, and signature mobile Vespa Ape. They operate several brick-and-mortar locations in the Cincinnati area and feature rotating pastries, pour-overs, and custom signature blends.


MUST TRY: One of their house baked pastries!
